Everyone should have a Zen place, and I would like to welcome you to mine. Sit back and imagine the sun slowly rising as you sip your coffee and listen to the birds as they begin to stir. They will soon begin visiting the bird feeders you have filled for them. The rays of light are trying to break through the canopy of the giant strangler fig surrounding you. In a few minutes you will hear the chirps of the ruby throated hummingbirds before you actually catch sight of them. They are thanking you for breakfast as they visit their feeder suspended just off the side of your treehouse.
Now, fast forward several hours and let’s replace that coffee with a glass of cabernet. Ahh…
I have to thank my husband for building this beautiful treehouse for me. I have shared with him over the years how much I enjoyed spending my childhood days reading in the top of a tree. I loved to climb to the highest and tiniest branches so I could sway back and forth with the wind. This treehouse was an amazing labor of love from my husband and a way for him to keep his extremely accident prone wife from climbing trees.
I hope you have a place like this too!
