A few weeks ago my husband and I purchased a couple of Florida native Yellowtop plants to add to our butterfly garden. Before we even had a chance to remove the plants from their pots this beautiful Cassius Blue butterfly decided to investigate. I have a large section of this tiny little butterfly’s host plant, the Florida Native Wild Plumbago. At first glance these petite creatures at only 3/4 – 1 3/8 inches in size seem like little white moths fluttering around the yard. Only through the lens of my camera can you begin to see how beautiful they really are!
