Down time? What’s that? I have never spent two weeks at home and accomplished so little, then again I have never had to recuperate from surgery before. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days of my recent respite.
Florida native blue mistflower and tropical sage.
There was plenty of wildlife in the yard to keep me company, including this squirrel.
This Australian tree fern is a new addition to the yard. It may eventually reach 15 feet tall and 15 feet wide!
I love the sound of the running water.
The garden grew so fast this summer I lost the gnomes several times.
Our first attempt at growing succulents this year has been successful.
Lazy Daisy keeping mom company.
Lazy Daisy
I saw at least 50 monarch caterpillars this week on our milkweed. Butterfly gardening is so rewarding!
This is not a clear photo, but I had to share. I spent several days of my convalescence watching the hummingbirds that are visiting for the winter.
Male cardinal, more of our backyard wildlife.
Ozzy hiding in the sweet potato vine.
What? You can see me?
